- Performed diagnostic scan. Engine module had code P0299 (turbo under boost code) Performed diagnostics. Determined that the waste gate was not functioning correctly. This is part of the turbo charger. Performed a warranty repair on turbocharger.
- Detached negative battery cable. Drained cooling system. Drained engine oil. Replaced oil filter. Removed the catalytic converter assembly. Removed catalytic converter bracket. Removed drive belt. Removed fasteners for A/C compressor. Set compressor out of area…did not disconnect lines. Disconnected electrical connection. Disconnected A/C pressure switch. Detached all lines and hoses from turbocharger. Removed fasteners, brackets and clips. Removed turbocharger. Cleaned all mating surfaces. Installed new gasket. Installed all new coolant and oil lines. Installed new turbocharger. Re-installed all removed items. Filled engine with oil. Vacuum filled the cooling system. Cleared all codes. Test drove. Vehicle performed to specs.
